Silver lake is a big body of water that not many people know how to access and thats what makes it a quality trip allmost every time. It holds an above average size largmouth population and i have hooked up with some decent smallmouth's also. Most of the vegitation is submerged in the form of long stringy grass like plants. We brought the fishing buddy for the first time and learned their are a couple spots over 70 feet deep but on ave. around 25 feet deep with good fast depth changes that hold fish. We caught 9 fish with a 4 lb 6 oz larry and a 2 lb 4 oz sally . Both were caught on a sallow diveing crankbait .reeling as slow as possible to maintain wobble

That's great, but it is illegal to fish there! Don't think the EPO's will share your enthusiasm!
